Professor Lincolin Arsyad is a professor in economics and finance at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Gadjah Mada University. He is currently the chairman of the higher education research and development, at the central board of Muhammadiyah. He completed his Bachelor degree in Economics from Gadjah Mada University in 1985, then obtained his Master in Energy Management and Policy from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, United States in 1990. He was then awarded his Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia in 2005. Professor Lincolin Arsyad's research activities are mainly in Micro Finance, Development Economics and Intitutional Economics.
